The Lancashire County Championships was a fun day of big scores and congratulations go out to Mo Singleton and Tom Collins our 2008 Masters Champions, and to Mike and Edwin for their hard work to make it all happen.

Lancashire Award 2007

The 2nd annual Lancashire County Awards Night was well supported and highlighted the increasing number of juniors who are meeting the challenging targets for county awards.

Steve Ray created a couple of clever ways to keep the assembled masses interested and the caption competition was awash with yellow stickies that demonstrated the vast breadth of dry humour we Lancashire bowlers have. I even spotted a very small yellow sticky stuck on a Meercat stating 'Abi 4 Chair' ???

A well stocked set of tables laden with a buffet greeted the attendees and a second set of tables were laden with awards. Mike, Richard, Steve and Barbara presented the various awards in a Oscars style, asking various attendees to open the envelopes.

The curtains needed to be drawn before the disco kicked off as it was still light, although even with the curtains pulled the amount of reflection off Chris Lam's table full of awards kept the room well lit. The list of award winners will be published shortly.
