U18 Qualifier Results

The following was bowled on Saturday 7th March at Sheffield Firth Park.

7 Girls teams and 11 Boys teams lined up for the Northern Area U18 county qualifiers.

The Girls team had a set back in that Nick Fawley had an injury and could not ball. The boys had Alex with a chest infection and Joe with a patched up face after falling down steps. Despite this both teams qualified.

 

The girls team qualified in 4th place with scores:

The Boys led going into the 6th game, County Durham set us a target of 961 to retain first place.

Game 4 saw Lancs playing on lanes with Yorkshire, always eventful our meetings. The first half of the game was all Lancs with three players on turkeys, then back came Yorkshire as we lost the advantage and had a bit of a strike holiday in frames 6, 7 and 8, going into 10th Yorkshire had the edge, however big last frame by Lancs players saw us win 1011 to 971.
