of the Month
Lancashire Awards Day
Lancashire awards day will take place on Sunday 12th July between 4pm
and 9pm.
County bowlers who have excelled in the year will be honoured.
As always the juniors who represented Lancashire in the County
Tournaments for their various age groups will receive a certificate and
badge. There will also be a presentation made to bowler of the year boy
and girl, and not forgetting the £150 award to a junior boy and
junior girl to help with equipment e.t.c.
The tickets need to be bought in advance as there will be none available
on the day because of catering arrangements. The price this year is
£7.50 per person.
Lancashire Trials 2008
The 2008 / 9 Lancashire Trials were held over three weekends in October / November at the Blackburn Bowlplex
bowl.
The juniors who largely bowled on the
second week, bowled six games the first three on a short oil pattern,
the final 3 on a longer oil pattern.
The Adults and Seniors in the main
bowled on the first and last weeks, bowling 8 games, 4 on short and 4 on
long oil patterns.

Ladies 6th |
|
The
Lancs Adult Ladies finished 6th overall, some exceptional bowling
including a 300 by Lisa John (Sussex) and a 297 by Jo Cundy
(Surrey), but they were all surpassed by Zara Glover who bowled an
average of 235 over the 11 games. Lancs Ladies averaged 191. [11/11/08] |
