The Scott Banks Memorial is an annual competition played between Lancashire and Yorkshire counties in remembrance of Scott Banks, a well known and well liked young Yorkshire bowler, who died in a tragic accident in 1998.

The Memorial Plate is hosted alternately in Yorkshire and Lancashire. In year 2003 the venue was the Accrington SuperBowl at Accrington, Lancashire.

Sunday the 9th of February witnessed the gathering of 96 county bowlers, 48 ladies and 48 men formed into 16 teams, each compromising of :

  • An Under 14
  • An Under 16
  • An Under 18
  • A YAC
  • An Adult
  • A Senior
